I don't suppose anyone has the latest in Hungary?
It's trading at 324 ish, exchange rate I can get here is about 302. I wonder whether it's worth holding off and buying most of the money out there?
Thanks
Mark

Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

A quick look at the post office website shows 312 Forints to the £ at the moment so a little improvment on the 302.
I had no problems in using Nationwide Visa debit card at cash machines for fee free withdrawals when at Lake Balaton last year.
The Visa exchange rate calculator doesn't show any values for the Forint but it will be slightly over 312 as well so as ever if you can get or have Nationwide Current Account with visa debit card this is the best way.
I wasn't on the look out for exchange places so could not say how they compared the rates we were getting at cash machines.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep

just for info, buy your forints in hungary. the lowest price was 340 forints to the pound.
I've no idea why, but it's so much better value out there, you'll save loads doing it.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -
The forint is very weak at the moment - they have been worse hit by the banking crisis than most countries. So getting it there is in principle a good idea - they will want (relatively) strong currencies like the £. (Note I said relatively.....)0

it's worth getting it there and bringing it back here. there's a clear profit to be made. assuming it's legal.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0

It's legal but you might find a problem offloading any significant sum at this end. Some BdeC are imposing limits on buyback.
And don't confuse buying and selling rates - there will be a wide spread which might mean you do not make what you expected0
