Painting Exterior Rendered Wall & Preperation

I'm hopefully soon going to paint the rear of our house which has rendering painted with masonary paint. With the wall getting quite a lot of weather the current paint has started to flake away towards the top of the wall.

To prepare it for painting I'm going to remove all the flaking paint with a scaper/brush and fill any cracks or patchs were render may come away. What do you recommend for this ? I presume sand & cement mix or an exterior filler ?

Finally painting the wall does anyone recommend any specific brands of paint ? Dulux Weathershield, Sandtex, Wickes own, B&Q own etc etc.

Last but not least even though i have flakey paint i presume i dont need Stabilising Solution as this is quoted as being for powdery, dusty, chalky or unstable surfaces ...

Any Advice :j

Cheers

Mark
