Reclaiming C.I.T.B levy

not sure if im on the right forum.........
my husband has had the citb levy taken from his wages even though he has not signed any forms giving authority which we have now found out is unlawful, he has left thst contractor now so we have decided to reclaim all the money that has been stopped. has anyone any idea how we go about this i have already reclaimed bank charges but obviously will need a different letter altogether.

    Yes they are unable to take things that like without consent.

    Best thing to do is go to your local citizens advice they will help you claim back and even help with the letter. they are very helpful in my local one anyway.
    No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one! :mad:

  • Im in desperate need of help here lol....the company have refused to supple the statements of the levy taken.............so looks like court action to get them to hand them over...........any ideas what i need to put on the court form and how much this will cost ..............tyx
  • Was your OH employed or a sub-contractor?
    Either way do you not have payslips/CIS23 documents that show what was deducted?

    If you have then use them as evidence and use the small claims court

    Yes he was a sub contractor but the contractor never put the citb levy deducted on the payslips we asked every month for him to do this ......but he never did

    Its been some time since i have posted on here.......but at long last i now have the list of dates and amount taken in CITB levy...........(through the industrial tribunal) :beer: but now have to claim the money back through the courts can anyone help me with a letter asking for it back ????????????/
