Photo display on website - problem pics not showing

hi I am trying to put a few photos on my website - (using Ms frontpage) and would like them to look nice. There is tool - in Navigation - Photo Gallery - which is excatly what I am looking for (tool to display about 12 pics nicely laid out) but when I have added my pics - and upload them via FTP the pics are not showing. The mosaic (lay out) yes but not the pics. The pics are in the folder and uploaded but for some reasn are not showing as thumbs... when i clic on them it shows the pic in a new window in full size so thats great but it doesnt shoe the thumbs as it should.
Any ideas or can someone suggest an alternative - free software to put pics on a website?
Many thanks

Not sure of Frontpage - I used Nvu for design - all free - but upload with Ipswitch (paid for)

I had to crealt a seperate foto folder, too.

    http://www.download.com/Nvu/3000-2048_4-10412423.html

    See what you think.

if you gave me a link to your website i'd have a quick glance at the source code and see what is happening...

(whispers - learn to hand code, HTML / CSS, it'll be better than frontpage anyday!)

again.. this is simple simple HTML....

    <a href="http://www.picturelink.co.uk/picture.jpg" target="_top"><img src="http://www.picturelink.co.uk/picturethumb.jpg"></a>

that is how you make a picture show a little thumbnail, and then when you click on it, will open up the large picture in a new window

as i've already said... LEARN HTML / CSS, it will make your life so much easier...

Seconded. I have a funny feeling that the link for each image is pointing to a folder on the OPs machine. Certainly in the past with frontpage I've had to change a link for an image from "file:C\mypictures\piccy.jpg" to "http://www.mysite.com/piccy.jpg&quot; far too many times for it to be ruled out as a possibility when there's a placeholder but no image.

I have had a look and when it is pointing http://www.mysite.com/piccy.jpg&quot; and I click on the pic it looks like it gets redirected to a wrestling site... :( not sure what it is but it may be because I use free webhosting with 110mb?
    thanks
  • can upload for free at www.imagevenue.com

then add the created links- should give thumbnails, with link to full size pics etc..
