I have 2 freeview boxes, one is picking up the signal from the Crystal Palace transmitter, the other picks up signal from the Hemel Hempstead transmitter.
(i use the same rooftop ariel but switch boxes over)
I live near Hemel and my ariel is pointing directly at the Hemel transmitter but some channels are better on the c palace box & other channels are better on the hemel box.
Is there anyway to tune one box in to pick up certain channels from hemel and other channels from c palace???

Hey foofighter
The channels are split in to Muxes, so you will probably get one group of channels better on onebox and another group better on another.0 -
Thanks Brian. Does anybody know if you can retune ?0

There is a slightly fiddly way to do this. Crystal Palace broadcasts Freeview between channels 22 and 34 (25, 22, 32, 28, 34 and 29 specifically) and Hemel Hempstead between 48 and 65 (48, 55, 60, 59 62 and 65). The two groupings are conveniently spaced out.
When you retune the digiboxes, you should see a progress bar which hopefully indicates which channels are being searched for a signal. If you want to tune to Crystal Palace, unplug the aerial when the bar gets past channel 34. If you want to tune to Hemel Hempstead, leave the aerial unplugged until you get past 34, but plug it in before the bar reaches 48.
That should work. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.

Contact the box manufacturer. Most boxes have a secret engineering menu which may allow manual tuning. Or you could post this query on the https://www.digitalspy.co.uk forums - you'll be amazed at the amount of geeky knowledge on there.
First, double check neither of the boxes are putting alternate channels in the 800s. Some boxes do this when the pick up the same channel on two different transmitters.0
