Maybe most credit card companies are inundated with new applications recently? I applied for a Morgan Stanley card two weeks ago and an American Express Blue card just over a week ago and have heard nothing from either yet. I'm just guessing that people are trying to get their new cards before Christmas or something?

I applied for a Natwest Credit card on November 21st and havent heard anything. The credit search was done that day.
  • Nothing to lose by phoning them up and asking for a progress report. There is a possibility that they have approved you and the card sent, and it has been lost in the post. Therefore you are quite justified in asking! I applied on line on a Thursday for a Barclaycard and it came in the post on the following Tuesday!

I'm assuming the worst since I cancelled my NatWest credit card in april and that they havent processed the balance transfers
