Gas Boiler servicing

We've decided to have the boiler serviced after far too many years. Now, do I need a CORGI registered person or is that just for the original fitting? Also, any ideas on a reasonable price to pay? Thanks

You need a CORGI by law.
Most of the people I know who get theirs done use a BG service so they pay monthly. My servicing is included in my lease so I can't give you a price.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

This was discussed about 2mts ago when both British Gas and Eon were doing special offers on servicing - I got mine done by Eon for £29 and was well pleased with the job. The offers seem to have stopped but this website has just quoted me £40 which can't be bad (I fed my request and postcode onto the web page) http://www.homeserve.com/jobs/heating-engineers?hs_c_id=PPC_GOO_OCT_GEO_Gas+Boilers+Serviced&gclid=CPDQgOSbqpYCFQ9KQgodA0_P2gI'm Glad to be here... We charge £50+ vat for a boiler service (£65+ for a back boiler/fire service) and that is in Essex. (Fully booked though so dont take on new customers).0

BG were doing an offer of £49 inc VAT and were very efficient. Used them to do two for me in the last 6 weeks. Might be worth calling them and see if you can still sneak in with this offer.Signature on holiday for two weeks0

My corgi chappy charges £50 for a boiler service.
One thing to OP - do get this done sooner rather than later and then make sure you do it every year. It is important.0
