Retired Businessman May Sue Over Icesave

I was discussing this case with some colleagues. True, none of us are lawyers, but no one was sure, whether this case, if it ever went to court, would gum up the Icesave compensation, turning a drama into a Farepack. Nor did anyone know if the English/Welsh/Nthn Irish would get paid while only the Scottish compensation was held in abeyanceIn the field of investment, 99 per cent of everything is garbage. Why? Because we have "gearing". - Robert Beckman0

I had well over the compensation limit in Icesave at some points last year - I felt 100% safe with the bank. I even had over £100k in a 6-month term deposit. There was no sign of this happening. It's only the second half of this year i've made real efforts to spread my money around so that each institution is under the limit and only 3 weeks ago that my Icesave balance dropped under the limit.
I don't blame him for putting it all in there 18 months ago but i'm guessing he's not been following the news etc since then, hence not splitting his money up a bit.
Nothing is 100% ever, I feel safe crossing the road, doesn't mean I'm immune to getting blitzed by a car because I 'felt' safe.
The basic message has been crystal clear for long enough, spread the money, don't take the 'risk'.
Emphasis on word risk, I've never ever read, horse your coins into one orginisation if it feels safe0
