norton anti virus problem cured

i was unable to access any of my secure sites. i was told it was down to my NAV. when the subscription ran out did'nt bother to renew it, i just ran AVG along side it. this was just one of my problems.i posted a thread on the TECHIE link and got some good advice. everytime i tried to download tools to remove the NAV i could'nt. it turns out NAV was stopping me from downloading. in the end my friend downloaded SYNNRT.EXE onto his computer then transfered it to mine, then removed NAV that way. we put on another version of NAV and now its all working fine. so if you are experiencing similer problems this might be the way around it. a big thank you to all the people who helped me on this site and if i can help you in the future i will be glad to, thanks once again. :snow_laug

Glad to hear that your problem is now sorted. I hope that you have followed the advice given by others in the previous thread, and that you have now installed a firewall.

hi espresso yes i reloaded NAV with firewall so i am all secure and up to date. thanks for your help.
