I plan to change alot of "Family Traditions" this year to suit me and our kids (all 3 of them)

    Normal traditions are:
tree up with family 12 days before and 12 days after
present on the kids beds for xmas morning
mince pie and milk out for santa and a carrot for rudolph
i always hide a gift from santa and rudolph too and leave it with a letter
    presents, dinner then visit family
as well as the little things like xmas music and films

this year however im tryng to teach my 2 year old about xmas and so the decs are going up on the 1st of December and im doing it while theyre all asleep so its a lovely surprise and i plan to throw a little family party a few days before xmas so all the kids can get together and play silly games and eat loadssssss

Something I used to do with my children was visit the bank and get a bag full of shiny pennies, every present would have at least one penny selotaped to the wrapping even something as silly as a drumstick lolly. The kids used to love it, nothing like a shiny coin to facinate a child.
