Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Hi

We purchased a 2004 Hyandai Getz in July. It is due for it's 4 year servicing in Nov. I telephoned the dealer we purchased the car from (they have a really good reputation) and they quoted, and he did say it was an expensive one being 4 year, £225 (in total).

I have done a bit of searching on the t'internet and can see that various blogs/websites quote hugely different prices.

Any mechanics/servicers out there know if this is around the right figure for a 1.1 Hyandai Getz 4 year service?

Many thanks from a gal who should know more about this than she does ;)

GJ x

Doesn't sound too bad. Do you have a list of what they do for that price?

Price is not the sole criterion; if you know and trust the garage, let them do the work. Agree with anewman that £225 doesn't sound too bad.

Agree that that seems a fair price for a big service - but like anewman, would be interested to know what they do for that sum. Also, what is your mileage? - cos that would be a factor in this too.

    Hi

Winter check, oil filter, air filter, pollen filter, steering fluid, antifreeze, brake check and fluid, suspension and then finally a vacuum and wash!

Mileage is approx 22,400. Eeek that's scary, have done 5k miles in 3.5 months.

no spark plugs? surely on a big service these would be done aswell?

Reasonable enough for main dealer £$£. Watch out for scary brake pad replece price though - if these are needed, you might even let KwikFit (sorrry about that) do this seperate job for you, as they do offer lifetime replacement warranty.

Plus you might be needing main dealer service to maintain the looooooooooooooooong warranty Hyundai gave, if it was their offer at the time of purchase, new.
