would a sony centre pricematch a nearby richer sounds?

if yes how would i go about it? there is quite a large difference in price. in most places the tv is £1100 and i believe in sony centres it is £1200 but in richer sounds it is £869.

they tend to not have what you want in stock and then try and push something else on you. i would use them but would prefer somewhere more reliable. i have just got off the phone to my local richer sounds and what a surprise they didnt have the tv i wanted in stock. they then proceeded to try and persuade me from that tv. after 5 minutes i managed to end the conversation.

What about finding a really good online supplier with stock that'll beat both prices?

    There are plenty.

https://www.avforums.com will have many recommendations, I've used various online AV stores in the past, always excellent service.

Ooooh, Thats a very nice TV! Only out recently and replacing its very highly regarded W4000 40in, which was what I was wanted to get, but it was out of my budget at the time.

So I picked up the V4000.

The only thing it seems to be out of stock in quite a few online places.

But donnie, whats your budget? as its getting higher very time you post another model.:p

my budget is low as possible. however realistically between £700-£800. if i can get the kdl40w4500 somewhere for £200+ less than the common asking price of £1100 then it would be too good to miss.
so you have the kdl40v4000 then? is it good enough? at the moment we have sky+, xbox 360 and an upscaling dvd player. we hope to get sky hd in the future and will get blu ray when it takes off properly.

what do you think of this review of the kdl 40v4000? especially the pros and cons list.
