Car insurance charges
Hi
Sorry if this has been posted before, I have had a quick scan and not spotted anything.
I recently had my old bank account closed and before I could do anything AA Car insurance wrote to me saying I have to pay admin charge because I have not got an active direct debit, now while it is true my direct debit was not active as soon as I realised what was going on I rang the AA to let them have alternative direct debit details and complained about the £12 charge which they insist still stands. I would understand if I had late or missed payments but as nothing is even due for another 2 weeks I feel that it is wrong that they should be able to charge for this. When I complained further they start spouting about how it is in the terms and agreements that there are charges for non payment of direct debits ... I felt I sounded like a parrot keep on saying I am not late never mind missing payments! Anyone else had this trouble and if so what was the outcome

I think we're all getting sick of banging our heads against the wall. AA Car Insurance isn't the cheapest and I think my next call would involve telling them I'm taking my business elsewhere.0

Thanks Conor, when I did a comparison search it was the cheapest for me. I did tell the parrot I spoke with I will definately not be recommending them and I will not be renewing with them0
