Also its the fact that you have to sign your cheques thats the issue, they then have a copy of your signature and thats obviously not advisable. If you need to request a cca and they don't have the original who knows what they could do when they have a fresh signature to work with.
on the CCCS form i send to them it asks me to sign at the end though,Is that ok? gosh gets complicated doesnt it lol!!Just a mum trying to make things happen!0 -

Yep, but the you can photocopy the CCCS letter so I guess it's not an original, fresh, signature. I would suggest not signing it - I put my name in capitals at the end or just wrote my name, rather than sign. I just wrote on the original, photocopied it and sent the copies out and kept the original so that they didn't have my fresh signature.
Confused...???!!!
PO's you can do for any amount - I did £1.00 per creditor as I had loads and caouldn't afford any more at the time. I asked the PO to leave the payee blank and had fun filling in the rest myself. Only cos I didn't particularly want strangers to know my business.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

I sent all my token payments by cheque (although they were from my mum's ac as I don't have a cheque book).
They can't do anything with your account details without your consent. If they, for example, wanted to set up a dd using your details, they would need consent plus they would have to give you 30 days notice.
Hope that helps
Fizz
At least they can't copy your signature.
Make sure they don't dip into your mum's bank account though. They will try and get money in any way they can.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

I just do that too, just kind of print my name in normal handwriting rather than "sign" anything properly.
I did po's for £1 and also filled in the payee myself.

Where i live there is a regional Building Society and they do counter cheques for free, so you could see if you have one in your area. It only cost £1 to open an account with them.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!
