i read about everyone booking br and when it is due but can you explain? i am in scotland is it different here? yes i want to go bankrupt so do i have to book it with a court or something?

Hi dodo,
the way it works in Eng & Wales is you contact your county court to find out if they do bankruptcies. If they do, you find out whether it's a drop in system, or if you need to book. My local court has a 2 week waiting list for BRs (!!:eek:!!) so we booked the next available time that was convenient for us. Some courts have drop-ins, where you take your completed paperwork first thing in the morning, and basically wait!

Just want to wish good luck and very best wishes to everyone who will be filing for bankruptcy in the coming few weeks. :TNo one should underestimate the stress that leads an individual to make this decision but reading this forum certainly helps to alleviate some worries and the post bankruptcy experiences displayed on here should hopefully reassure you all that the life does goes on and for the majority the decision has not only been the right one but one that has ultimately been positive in outcome too:T
