Nationwide website "broken", no need to panic!

Right now (13:03) www.nationwide.co.uk doesn't work, they appear to have broken it.

This will get you to the home page:

    Works for me!

Why would we panic anyway if it did go offline for a few minutes? websites do it all the time.

    Pointless thread.

Wish the scaremongers would go offline.

Because, Mr. I'm-all-right-Jack, someone who is trying to access their account and is experiencing the same problem might be grateful for an alternative way in. If I was scaremongering why would I point out that the website is still there, you simply need to go in the back door?

Anyway, stop press, it's working now, I daresay they noticed that they suddenly had no traffic.

Agree with Squibbler, it's like Dad's Army "Don't panic, don't panic"

Bazster many thanks for your post re. Nationwide. Tried to log on and couldn't and came straight here to see if anyone else had the same problem and was reassured to find I was not the only one. I for one am grateful to you and your conciencious attitude is what makes forums on MSE worthwhile.
