Hi again Steve,
You can phone your local county court and get the forms sent to you (one set each) or you can fill them in online or download them from the links in the first sticky on this board. HTH! CBx;)0 -

Hi everyone again. OK so an update to where i am. I have phoned the local court in my area to see about the waiting time. They are taking bookings for January. This is actually not a bad time for me and the OH, as i am hopefully due a bonus in my wage packet at the end of Dec, which will ofcourse, pay for the bankrupcy fees for me and the OH. I find it very ironic that you have to find nearly £1000, when we are using credit to live off and feed the kids. So the idea is to have our wages paid into our Co-op account at the end of December, which is our January wage, and cancel all the DD out of our other accounts. Unfortunaltley we can't use another bank account, so we will have to inform the OR that this was set up for our BR, and hopefully he will not freeze the account. I am going to book my court date today for January. The waiting list is only going to get longer. Just thinking about it makes me nervous!! God knows what i'll be like on the actual day. We need to get it rolling, as we have just defaulted on a CC for the first time ever, and boy are they chasing us. It's only 2 weeks since it was due, and the interest charges and late payment charges are unbelievable. Who knows what they will be like in January!!
I have had a look at the online forms and they look straight forward, if not long. I wanted to fill out the majority of it now, but it says you should do it to your current position, which is going to change by Febuary. How has everyone else done it? How long do they take overall? As me and OH have both got to fill them outBR 14th Jan 2009

The form took me a day to fill out. Some of that time was spent on this forum, some scratching my head, but I'd allow that long for it.
You can fill it out online now, and change it nearer the time.

If I was in your situation, I'd start now. You can then adjust the figures closer to the date of filing. I wish I'd had more time!:oDebt free by 2025?0

your right, i'll start now on both and amend at a later date. I have to admit that the late payment thing is getting to me. It's not like we can ask to freeze the interest on the card without them getting suspicous. If we pay them upto date, it's only going to be on credit anyway! I thought me and the OH were ok with the constant phone calls, but after the first one, we're scared to pick up the phone!

Anyway thanks again for all the help! Im sure there will be more questions to ask, once i get deeper into the online forms.

Steve it is not the OR that freezes the account it is the bank. The Co-op are really good with BR's and they do not freeze accounts. In the last 12 months or so I have only known 1 person to have a problem with a Co-op account and that was only because the OR was a jobsworth and interfered. On the day that you go BR you usually have a brief phone call with the OR, you tell him this account was set up for your BR. He will say he has no interest in it and will let the Co-op know. Give the Co-op a ring and let them know and they will make a note.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Well its all got REAL!
We have a joint appointment for me and the OH on Wed 14th Jan. It kind of hitting home now the severity of it all. I thought it would actually be alot longer than that, with the current climate and all, but the timescale for me is quite good. We can transfer all our wages into the Co-op account we have set up, then we will have the hassle of the creditors from the 28th onwards. I am really not looking forward to that bit, but 2 weeks seems a small price to pay!!!
I will also have to fill out the forms for me and the wife, so i think i should start them ASAP.
SCARY STUFF!!!!:eek:BR 14th Jan 2009
