Plinth Heater - what capacity do I need

Can anyone help me to work out what size hydronic plinth heater I need to heat my kitchen. It is approximately 10' x 12' but opens into a dining room which will have a fairly big radiator.
I have done some research and seen that there are different kw and btu options but I'm not sure which will be sufficient for my size kitchen.
Also, which brand is best for hydronic plinth heaters - Seems like either Smiths or Myson are the most well know. Views please?
Many thanks in advance.

thought about ringing up manufacturer to ask at all?
I used to have a prog called stars but that was for normal rads also would tell you rad you need to buy as prog was made by manufacturer for there rads when qualified as plumber back when i was 21god i feel old now.
otherwise could always get plumber in for detailed quote of what you would getand then use that info to buy it yourself. also one other thing you use the word plinth heater i hope your not talking about the dreaded electric ones bear in mind the cost of electric these days.
Have you considered getting yourself a designer rad and making a feature out of it instead? i'm doing my kitchen at the mo and installing this http://www.wickes.co.uk/Designer/Tall-Wave/invt/159950
on the new larder cupboard wall it will serve two purposes. first is to heat, secondly to become a feature and look good.
The prices at wickes for example on these sorts of rads have been slashed by upto 55% at the mo so could be alot more cost effective in buying and running as well if you have a slight bit of wall space i made mine by using the end wall of the new larder tower.0 -
Thanks you Basil1234 for your advice. I will try the manufacturers. Problem is I don't really have any free wall space for radiators at all.
Like the rads in Wickes though & may consider for other rooms.
Thanks again.0 -
Hi If you click here & enter the information it asks for it will present you with the required heatloss for the kitchen.

If no space for radiators, have you through about floor heating? Nice and toasty for toes!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Actually that was our first choice, but have since read conflicting reviews. So, after more research & impartial expert advice we decided to go with plinth heaters.0
