Last night I had an Npower salesman ring the doorbell preaching about how he can beat British Gas on price
I bet he can't I thought so suggest I'd be interested. Upon asking about my gas bill he did a quick U-turn and backtracked out of any agreement.
It seems that when you gas bill is very low (I pay just a few pounds per quarter) they definately cannot beat it!
Since British Gas have abolished the standing charge I pay only for the gas I use. Working away from home and having electric heating the gas use is minimal to say the least! The minimum charge of £10 has kept me in credit for over 18 months!

i think you'll find you're probably wrong. npower too have nsc, they are also capping their prices without the surcharge bg charge. so if you swapped to npower, you find you would only pay for the supply you use and your prices would not increase until 01/06. bg cannot match this cap and as we all know more price increases due jan to march.Beware the green?0
