I don't find it funny at all that you lost money. I'm ever so sorry for you.
But Bulgaria was all the rage 3/4 years ago.
It's like I was agains't the Iraq War, went on every march and protest at the time - I'm just emotionally bored now though, even though the same amount of people are getting blown up and, in fact we're losing more soldiers than ever. They call it fatigue or something.
I'm sorry for them but in context less sorry for you that lost out in the GOLD RUSH that was Cheap Bulgarian Property.
Didn't turn out to be so cheap though did it, just like we all know now the war in Iraq and Afganistan, was just as futile - but costs us a fortune to this day.

Oh to be wise after the event. You are so right. I thought I would make a quick profit in a developing country and lost out. You have put it into persepctive with your Iraq and afganistan analogy. I have still got my life. The losses over there cannot be replaced
Thank you for your words of wisdom0 -
Mine aren't words of wisdom. Doesn't take away the fact you invested where you did. We all thought it a great deal at the time and for many it still it. However, If they entrusted in agents and 3rd parties, unfortunatley they may have lost out.
One thing about the UK, we are regulated and have insitutions thats protect us. I've heard of many lose out buy investing in dud deals. We have many elderly, here in the uk, that are simarlily screwed.
As for Iraq, funny how they're all coming out now saying it was illegal, (LIB DEM/Tory coalition)
If it helps, I know a few guys in Belarus!! Stole from my company using stolen american credit cards. They think I don't know where they live!!
But I do:j
The authorities here don't want to know as the purchase deal is in Bulgaria. The Governemnt ministers do not know as it won't win them enough votes and the European MP's don't want to know as its too difficult0
