I was in Victoria Park earlier today and there were loads there. If you try any of the parks in Cardiff you should be able to collect some leaves.0

I'd be very grateful if you could collect lots from the Taff Trail.
I've just cycled up from town and they're a bit slippy.0 -
Thanks all.
Not quite what I had in mind but I may have to resort to that
I'm just hoping it stays fine till the weekend or they will be leaf sludge

If anyone is walking this weekend you'll be able to spot me easily. I'll be the bloke with the rake and the bags full of leaves:eek:
PD ..... I'm in my first year of allotmenting so I'm no expert. I think they are basically the same but leaf mould is just made out of leaves, whereas compost is more of a mix of green and brown materias that focusses more on getting the carbon / nitrogen baance correct???.
My take on this is that I am trying to take on board some of the permaculture design principes that I have been looking onto. One of the most fruitful (poor pun) ecosystems are forests where the available biomass on the floor of the forest is comprised mainly of fallen leaves. Just have a look at some of the road side verges around cardiff to look at the leaves turning into a rich brown composty like material over the next few weeks.
Have a look at the wiki permaculture entries realy informative also for those in the lazy gardener mentality try looking on you tube for 2danger of falling food" videos.
