Thanks to OP - I often just want to buy a couple of books and end up buying more then what I want to get the free del so if this is open to everyone I will certainly benefit from it on my next order.0

I tried Prime but don't order enough to warrant the £49 charge, thanks for the heads up0

Do we know when it will actually go live?
Thanks0 -
Prime works really well - I made the most of my trial, everything always arrived before 1pm the next day.
However, for me it's not worth the money as for most things I'm happy to wait a few days for free super saver delivery - and making that free for £5 min spend just makes Prime even less worth it IMO.
HOWEVER, I had the mail about £5 min spend but currently have a basket with £12.35 in it and it wants me to add £ £2.59 to qualify for free delivery! Hopefully the new min spend will kick in later today.0 -
Thanks for posting ,I can't believe some of the comments on here.
It's a wonder anyone ever posts any deals:rolleyes:0 -
Many thanks for posting OP, shame the 'forum-police' had to be so critical, maybe they need a new hobby"I married beneath me, all women do." - Nancy Astor 1879-1964

Cheers for posting OP, as far as I'm concerned it is Amazon that haven't got their act together and not you....
Many thanks for letting me know about this, I usually find it cheaper to go through Play to get the free postage - plus the % from quidco. But this will definitely give me another option.....0 -

Thanks to the OP from me too.
Given the choice, I'd rather be told in advance of something happening.
I might have been just about to order a £10 item and paid for delivery, and so have been able to save money by waiting until the £5 deal starts.0
