finally found a screen cleaner that works!

I'm getting pretty fed up trying to find a screen cleaner that works for my LCD monitor and TV. Have pretty tried all the brands that say they work and come across this

Wasn't sure where to post this but thought it would be more useful here.

How do your screens get so dirty?!

You should be able to clean an LCD screen with just a small dab of water on a very soft chamois leather, or microfibre cloth, gently circular motion, they are delicate, so don't apply great pressure.

I've never used chemicals on screens, and personally never would. Many are safe, but many can damage the plastics.

PS good quality microfibre cloths are available in many stores and on-line, opticians in particular sell high quality ones for glasses.
  • Got a microfibre cloth from my cleaning company for , ohhh, £0.50p 40cmX40cm

I clean my screen by gently going over it with a baby wipe and dry with a microfibre cloth. Imho 'purpose made' screen cleaners are a rip-off, but some will always fall for a good advertising ploy.

I love adverts that say "contains no chemicals" - what the hell is in there then?

I must admit the spray was ok but wouldn't buy again but would did make the difference was the cloth. I have got loads of microfibre cloths but the thicker kind didn't work aswell. I see they sell the glass cloth on it's own and for 4 quid is worth it. http://phcleaning.co.uk/shopping/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=3
I wouldn't say the screens (TV and PC) get dirty but there are lots of finger marks with a 2 year old.
