I am thinking of buying a laptop for me, no great requirements, e.g. no online games/videos/etc. Just straightforward office applications, internet, email, synchronising with ipod, etc. I've seen a Medion with 14" screen, BRAND NEW Intel® Pentium® 4 with 2.4 GHz
Microsoft® Windows® XP Home, Intel® Pentium® 4 with 2.4 GHz, 14.1" TFT XGA Colour Display, 256MB DDR-RAM, 20GB Hard drive, for £420.
Any views or altenatives?
thanks
Martin

Im not a fan of Medion's stuff and if you have a look on Ebay you'll see the amount of faulty ones for sale.
The chances are that the processor is a desktop P4 so it will have a disasterous battery life.
Dell have a good offer on at the minute for Latitude 1300 laptops starting at £400 or if you can hold out until after Christmas there will be plenty of bargains in the January sales.:: No Links in signatures please - Edited by Forum Manager ::0 -
