Benefit Question

Im currently on Incapacity Benefit and have been since Dec 07, I think it's middle rate now. I was working before then but had to give up due to my health.

My question is.....

If my boyfriend who works full-time moved in with me, would I still get my benefit?

Thanks in advance.

if you are on incapacity benefit this would not be affected. if you had other
benefits (ie income support, council tax discount) etc) paid to you then they would be affected because they calculated on household income. My husband claims only IC and i work full time. We dont receive any other benefits.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

If you get income support based incapacity benefit, that will be effected. Proper incapacity benefit won't be. DLA won't be affected no matter what. Income support, hosuing benefit etc would.
If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!

If you have worked and paid enough NI in the years before your claim it will be IB. If you have not it will be IS with IB credits. It should tell you on your award letter.
