Alliance & Leicester Web a/c transfers...

When setting one of the cumbersome d/d transfers into it yesterday it mentioned from January that transfers can only be made into it by internet banking which is far better. Can these be done from now as I can't seem to view the same info without actually setting another transfer?
Second query, an amount that's been in there a week still shows as unavailable and presumably I'm not earning interest on it. What's the idea with that?

i have a very low opinion of a&L online banking, even tho transfers are between my own accounts it still takes time for it to'clear'. absolute pants in my opinion
when u refer to web a/c transfers do you mean transfer in and out and which account specifically? their esaver and plus savers have 'linked accounts' (i think this is stupid as well) where u can only tranfer money back and forth from the 'linked account' they will allow u to set up a DD so you can tranfer money from your linked account for you at just a click.
your 2nd point, where is the money supposed to be coming from?0
