PSNautical,
First of all there is nothing "dirty" about facing up to and dealing with your debts - be proud!
Just transfer your wages/benefits etc into that account and let the OR know the details once you go BR. (you will speak to his office on the day by phone from the court)

ahh right,
well the main reason i opened it pre BR is because one of my creditors kindly started helping themselves to my BR fee money!
gits..
thanks, i'll be sure to mention it on the day!0 -
Hi
Your OR will probably be ok about the account- mine said he would write to the Coop and tell them I was bankrupt but he had no interest in the account.
Coop were fine about it and my account was left open, I think the odd account gets frozen but majority seem ok.0 -
Hi PSN,
I opened my acc with coop prior to BR but it didn't get used until after I'd had my OR interview.
The OR said he had no interest and the Coop were brill.

I've only known ONE occasion where someone had problems with their co-op account after BR...and that was due to an a r s e y OR I think

Hi, How long does it take to receive the all paper work form the co-op. I set it up over the phone last Wednesday and they said it had been approved subject to bank checks, but have heard nothing since, is this a normal turn around time?
Thanks0 -
you are one step ahead of where i was !! it did not even cross my mind where my wages were going to go until i checked it out on here !
been with co-op for 12 months now and they have been the friendliest bunch i have ever banked with - there again i am now aware of where every penny i earn and spend is, and i check almost daily in case i am spending too much.
buy what you need and not what you want is a great proverb to live by.0 -
i was on the fone to them for a good half an hour, and honestly, its the most fun ive ever had on the fone to a bank,
i was in stitches at the humour and the friendlieness was superb,
why the f**k hadnt i switched sooner?
might not be in such trouble now if i had!0 -
We've been into our local branch today to open an account for OH. They were really nice and friendly. We just couldn't bring ourselves to tell them the real reason for opening the account. Is that going to cause a problem when OH goes BR? CBx:o0
