How do I tell if my Gucci bag is genuine?

I have a Gucci bag which I'd like to sell on Ebay, but I am scared of inadvertently selling a fake.

It looks and feels like the genuine article. It has a leather Gucci label with a serial number on the back. It came in a Gucci dustbag. It was given to me by a neighbour and I don't like to ask her.

I'd be grateful if anyone can give me any pointers as to how to tell if its real or fake, and also any form of words to include in my description to cover me for any eventuality!

The neighbour decided to emigrate at very short notice and basically emptied her house. Everyone was walking away with amazing bargains.

I bought a fake once from a reputable web site. I only found out it was fake after I took it into Gucci shop for a slight repair. The shop checked it over and assured me it was genuine and it wasn't until it was sent to Italy that it was discovered to be a fake! Luckily the web site I bought it from completely refunded my money when I sent them the letter from Gucci! Phew!
