Tracing old accounts ??

I am dealing with my grans finances for her as she is no longer able to and i have come across a load of bank books for old accounts ?

I am not sure if they are still active as she is not able to give me any more info

Is there any way to trace accounts on her behalf without getting POA?

Hi Deb,

No reflection on you of course, but the banking rules have been tightened in recent years to protect the vulnerable from being fleeced by people who would like to part them from their money, and that is a good thing.

I think you will need to get Power of Attorney before you can access details of her accounts. I hope it works out well.
