help - what is a "deadbidder"?

Report her for being a non conforming bidder. She bid on your item and she clearly did not read the requirements, you said yourself that you would only post to the UK or Europe. This is 100% a scam and you will end up without a phone and possibly money if you go through with this. DO NOT DO IT!0

Hi,
Please listen to the replies you have here. This is a well-known scam. If you just search this forum for the word 'ibadan' itself you will find emails very similar to the one you have received. Do not deal with this person however nice you are feeling, or you will be back here in the next few weeks looking for a way to get your goods/money back.
Good luck with selling your phone.:wall:0 -
Apparently when these bidders who say it is for their son in nigeria they are lying, the bank they use to transfer the money shows as though it has cleared so you post out item, then the money disappears from your account again, it is a new scam so be very careful, I have also heard this is mainly done in mobile phone sales on ebay so be warned!!0

How could they do that without requiring human intervention in the sign-up process? Unfortunately, that would cost money.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0
