Could anyone give me some advice please?
I have received an e-mail from e-bay safe harbour which states that a change of e-mail has been requested on my e-bay account, this is the text:-
Change of email has been requested from 66.219.66.31 For the User Agreement, Section 9, we may immediately issue a warning, temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership and refuse to provide our services to you if we believe that your actions may cause financial loss or legal liability for you, our users or us. We may also take these actions if we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us.
We regret to inform you that your eBay account could be suspended if you don't re-update your account information. To resolve this problems please use the link below and re-enter your account information. If your problems could not be resolved your account will be suspended for a period of 24 hours, after this period your account will be terminated. .
Due to the suspension of this account, please be advised you are prohibited from using eBay in any way. This includes the registering of a new account. Please note that this suspension does not relieve you of your agreed-upon obligation to pay any fees you may owe to eBay.
I have not requested to change my e-mail address with them, in fact I dont understand a word of the above. Have gone into my e-bay and checked for messages but there are none.
I did click on the link in the e-mail to have a look but the page could not be found. I am a bit wary of clicking on a link and re-entering bank details or credit card details in case this is some kind of a scam.
Has anyone else seen this?

Hi sweet pea.
Never click on links of emails you aint sure of from paypal and ebay always forward them to
Spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com
Its better to be safe than sorry .
they are normally very quick in getting back to you .

If you ever get emails claiming to be from ebay, to check their authenticity, open a new internet window, type in https://www.ebay.co.uk and log on that way.
If you then click on the My Ebay button and then My Messages, if it's authentic it will be in that folder. If it's a phishing email, it won't be there!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
As some of you know I managed to do it last week; and I should know better, these blasted scam e-mails can catch you out especially when you are tired and trying to sort out e-mails late at night.
If you think you have been scammed change your password immediately through the site itself (EBay, Paypal, Amazon or who ever). I use virtually the same password for everything so it was a laborious process!!0 -
Definately a spoof, just ignore it. Theres no point sending it to ebay as they dont follow it up.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040
