a quick water flow question - plumbers

recently had a new WB 28i junior condensing combi boiler fitted and the water pressure is excellent, bathroom basin taps, shower is superb too as was the old kitchen mixer. had a new kitchen fitted with a fancy mixer tap but the water pressure is a lot weaker than the old style tap, im not complaining but just wondered if the new tap might have some sort of restrictor built in to it?
reason im asking is soon to refurb the bathroom and dont want a dribble coming out of fancy new shower heads

any suggestions?
Glen

  • Modern, continental style, monobloc mixers reduce flow rates, and ones with 8mm tails reduce it all the more. Sometimes a reduced flow rate is desirable, on a hand basin for instance, to eliminate splashing, and I use in-line flow restrictors for this. Each situation has to be assessed on its own merits.
