Dropshippers get discussed on here quite a bit and also on the ebay newsgroups. Most if not all are not worth bothering with so be careful if anyone is thinking of parting with their hard earned money.

Also remember that you are relying on someone else to fulfil your contractual obligations on ebay, someone buys from you and then you find out that the dropshipper is late in delivering or is out of stock and you get reported to ebay and you get negative feedback.

Check out the guys selling Jenopic stuff (I hope I have spelt that correctly) pages and pages of unsold items, or more worryingly cancelled auctions where the price looks like ending at below cost. I was ill a month or so ago and had some time on my hands and decided to try for a really cheap digital camcorder or camera, 99% of items I bid on had the auctions cancelled at the last moment as I was winning with really silly little bids. Several of the sellers are also NARU for some reason, possibly they closed too many auctions without a real reason?

If you are looking to use a drop shipper then check your information carefully. You need to do a proper check on completed items on ebay, see what sold and for how much, and what didn't sell at all. Once you have a true selling price, and not a price given to you by the dropshipper, check out how much you will have to lay out in fees and paypal charges to paypal. Factor in cost prices and only then if you are showing a healthy profit go for it.

  • totally agree with what you said 'Soolin'(hope i got you name right :-[). The main reason i put them up was that it may save people signing up to them to find out if it is any good to them.

In the second link, half of those suppliers shown have no web or email address and are mostly UK wholesales companys. The first link is a lot better with alot more things on but there no point in buying stuff if you dont need it and cant sell it.

( My first tip may not have been a really useful post but im still sort of proud, the number of times ive wondered if the info was any good)
    Nice to save.
  • Your tips are great but the second link is a lot better as it contains a heck of a lot more uk dropshippers then the first .
