Hi everyone!
Just starting to have a slightly annoying problem now, my plug in mouse (not USB but the normal type) frequently just freezes and stops working - to make it work again I have to restart the computer which is a huge nuisance.
It sometimes happens with my keyboard too - but I can always just plug it in again and it starts to work, whereas with the mouse - plugging it back in makes no difference at all.
Even right now, I have had to get to these forums and make this post via keyboard shortcuts as the mouse has frozen again - please help me fellow techies!!! Many thanks in advance

Well as you can buy another mouse for a couple of quid, try doing that. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I certainly would but is there an underlying problem as to why this is happening? (computerwise)0

Is it an optical or ball mouse?
If its a ball one have you cleaned it lately?0 -
I have been having the same issue with my logitec cordless optical mouse as well.
Restarting sometimes cures it, other times the device needs removing in control panel - system - device manager and then a restart.
Gets a little annoying when you need to boot up and look up something quickly.
No advice at the moment i'm afraid, i'd not had this issue ever before until the last week or so.
Just annoying more than anything, something must have changed somewhere!!
