Apparently it isn't possible to downgrade a business selling account to a private account (I saw this came up as a question earlier).

I have managed though to upgrade a basic buying account to a selling account fairly easily. It seems as long as you have a credit card registered to the same address as your new selling account and have a telephone number that hasn't been used for verification too many times you can convert your buying account to a selling one in a matter of 10 minutes or so.

I did have one slight problem which I do not understand, I got myself verified by way of a phone call (that is odd as it waits ages before it says anything and I'm sure many people just hang up and think the call failed). I then went to list something and got an error message to say that my details were wrong as my IP location did not match my verified address and I needed to confirm my new location (which was actually the same place it was half an hour earlier!). I had to go through the whole telephone number thing again but then I managed to list a trial item with no problem.

I am now pulling out all the toot from my cupboards and all the rubbish lying around in an effort to get it all listed.

    Good luck everyone.

The announcement says that third party listers will show a fee but the email you get after listing will correctly show that no fee will be charged. I have done a few trial auctions and this has happened on all of them so far.

  • Hello everyone, is anyone listing now? Been trying to list for the past 30 minutes but without any luck! Can't add any description and worst of all can't list anything - never given the option to list at the bottom of the listing!

Is anyone else having this problem - I'm hoping that I might be able to have a go later tonight when it might be a bit quieter!
