    :T Ahhhhh

Well there's several letters winging there way to various different companies today!! I've started proceedings to claim back charges from 2 catalogues and 1 bank account! I've informed all other creditors of our financial situation and asked for interest to be frozen and to make much smaller payments.

I've sent a letter to the council apologizing for being in arrears, sent them a budget sheet and asked them to accept over payments in respect of my council tax arrears, I also asked them to take back the debt from Jacobs (bailiffs), I told them that I felt intimidated by them etc, and they had not acted in a proper and legal manner when they came to the door and that I would be happy to pay the arreas back to the council directly - fingers crossed they will agree to this!!

More great advice from you thanks Jes - the turning the water heater off is a good one - and I'm going to do that as of today!!

I've already swapped for energy saving light bulbs etc - and as of this week we've started turning off lights, and switching EVERYTHING off at the wall when we're not using it! EON tried very hard to be unhelpful, but after being transferred to a different department we managed to get that all sorted, we're using £113 combined gas and electric a month, that should go down now we're making such an effort not to use it!! we have to pay £6 off the arrears each month, but we'd budgeted for more, so will pay more!

OH has no work in at the moment  but, there is a few opportunities that are coming up for him to work away, which is good, its work and its good money, but I'm useless at being on my own!! but it has to be done, if that works there he's got to do it.

So this weekend has been hard work!! my eyes were sore from staring at the laptop writing letters, OH transformed a A4 book into a detailed list of in goings and outgoings so now we can open it up and see at a glance what goes where, when etc and he's titled it 'Financial salvation).

Well, I'm exhausted by it all, but there was a certain amount of satisfaction when I lifted my daughter up to the post box and she posted all of those letters that hopefully will get us back on track!!

I've joined 3 survey sites so far, entered lots of competitions on here and we have several items for sale on ebay!! :T

I think now I need to concentrate on making OH business run more smoothly - I'm thinking of getting some flyer's printed and going door to door - cards up in more shops etc, a lot of people I think maybe struggling with large builds, extensions and things because they don't have the funds, but at the same time I think there maybe lots of people out there who have little repairs etc that may need a joiners touch and I think I'll aim some advertising in this direction!!

oh my gosh I type too much

Thanks again Jes for your advice - I really should get back onto the water board - but I'm going to give myself a day off. :D
