How to contact Egg CS for new customers?!

I opened an Egg savings ac on Friday. Had to enter all existing bank info and email. I've had no confirmation from them at all. Nor have they answered my email sent via their site. I have tried to call them but there appears to be no CS no for new customers (I can't enter ac no when prompted on any of the automated nos that appear on the site).
Does anyone know how I can get hold of them by phone please to make sure the bank details are secure (and cancel my new account app as I am distinctly underwhelmed)?

When I was opening an account I phoned this number to deal with any problems: 08451 233 233 . I got through to a real person and talked about it with them. Worked very well.0

got through. They don't send confirmation emails, which is a bit weird. Their excuse is that they are busier than normal! Doesn't really inspire much confidence does it.
nice username btw.

I actually got a letter from Egg rather than an email. However this took a couple of weeks.0

Your account's open - all hours.
Mr Hazzanet
Thank you for your recent application. You'll be pleased to know the hard part's over, and your brand spanking new account is now open.
You can view your account online by following these simple steps:
Go to www.egg.com and select the 'your accounts' option in the top right corner.
Enter your security details to go to the 'Your money' area of our website.
From here, some of the things you'll be able to do include seeing any deposits you've made, accessing your online statement and making deposits to your account. Servicing your account online is really easy. While you're logged on to your account, have a look around and, if you get stuck, remember we're only a phone call away.
We do still need to complete a few checks on your identity before you can withdraw money. Don't worry about this: if you don't hear from us soon it means your account is fully operational. But for the next three working days, please don't try and make any withdrawals.
Your interest will be paid into your Egg Savings Account on the first anniversary of the opening of your account and on that date each year after that. It will be paid net of tax, unless you tell us that you're eligible to receive interest with no tax paid. You can do this online. Simply log in to 'your accounts', choose your savings account from the list shown and select the 'Tax status' option from the list shown on the left of the page. You can complete this online and it will mean you get your interest without tax deductions.
If you have any questions about your new Egg Savings Account or any other Egg products, please contact us securely using the link found within the 'Your money' area of our website, or call us on 08451 233 233.
Best wishes
