when I was in debt ,I checked my bank account online
every pay day before I went to work .
Then I decided how much I NEEDED (not wanted ) till next pay day .
The remainder went straight out to pay my debts .It did get easier when I seen the debts going down .
  • the lucky thing is that 2 of my contracts end soon so i will only be left with 2 of them.

i suppose if i am living at home then the rent has to be paid, after all my parents to provide me with my own room, meals etc etc

i just want rid of my loan and my credit cards and start afresh!

i dont have my credit cards anymotre, mum has them so i cant use them but the limits are a dsigrace!

well i cannot stop using the buses cause they are the way i get into work, it cost me £1.85 for a return ticket every day.

is there a way i can work out how much i should repay to my credit cards and overdraft per month?

i already have a set amount of £102 which i pay monthly

Are you only paying minimum payments ? If so look at |Martin's article on that, it'll give you something to think about.
Also, if you search this board for 'snowball' you find a link to help you.
Thirdly, I know you are working a lot of overtime, but maybe if you offered to help you parents around the house, decorating car washing, anything really and stick to it.. they may reconsider and drop your rent.
Last of all, next time your mates come round, ask your Mum to look after your wallet!

Get a payslip, take your latest bill statements for credit cards, mobile phones (maybe you have an online email notice?), etc...

    Heres mine as an example

    Income

    £890

    Outgoings

    Parents Rent - £100
    O2 Bill - £30
    NTL phone - £15
    NTL BB - £18
    MBNA cc - £150
Capital One - £75 (standing order)
    First National loan - £275
    Abbey National loan - £118

    Total Outgoing £781

    Dept at highest - £27,000

Estimated dept free date - 2010

is this 200 quid you borrowed or 200 you have to pay to get him to stay over night .
if its for staying overnight tell him NO !
    Get new mates quickly .

Do you owe this 'mate' money you promised him, or money you loaned from him? If it's the former then lose him, if it's the latter then it's a debt, maybe he'll let you pay it back over a few months.

    David,

Was that a typo, or do have 4 phones and not 3 ? Also as for the limits on your cards... be thankful they are a disgrace... if they were 5K a piece .. would you be
    20k+ in debt now ?
