Reminds me of when I moved out of home at 19 and my mum had to phone me every morning to make sure I got up and went to work on time!!!

With the original posters supposed spending habits, I would suggest that a creditcard is far from the answer here - I don't think that the cards would maintain their "virginity" for very long at all..."Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."
