hello all - I'm still at work but am on here legit!! Honest! I've been asked to research access to childcare for parents who want to re-enter education and I reckon this is a good place to start for general ideas.
Bunny - sorry about your job, but I think you are wasted there - there is something much brighter and sexier out there for you - you mentioned jokingly you'd like to be a Radio 1 DJ - how about contacting your hospital and doing a few hours on hospital radio as a volunteer? You could see if you like doing it and learn about the equipment etc and how radio works.

childcare for parents returning to college either the Learner Suppport Fund (over 19s)or Care 2 Learn ( for under 19s) and one which is about to come in for parents with a partner total hosehold income under £20.000 called Learner support programme. that one will probably merge with LSF HTH0

oooh thankyou HHH. An excellent starting point :T
I'm now at home........can you see the seamless transition
Funnily enough, my name was 'randomly' picked this month to have all my internet access at work analysed over the last 4 weeks and I had to go through and say what each online visit was for. It was the law of sod that this month I was asked to get loads of addresses of charities and organisations for a letter and also do some research into apprenticeships at a local company. Because I know they do this, I never access the internet at work for my own stuff, but I still felt guilty!!
The only visits I couldn't remember were 3 minutes on the BBC website a month ago and 3 minutes on Wikipedia about 3 weeks ago, but they must have been work related in some way. I wonder if those who are 'picked' are actually those with high useage rather than just randomly selected.
Teaching tonight, we are doing poached pear with a caramel and cream sauce and then Hobnobs
