  • Morning all,
A fed-up Bunny checking in...found out yesterday my store is closing and I am in work for 6-8 weeks, then out on me butt. *sigh* It was on the cards but still scary/frustrating non the less...So, job hunting here I come AGAIN! !!!!!!.

Anyway-I'm off for a few days this week and hopefully going to get loads done around the house and finally get the last bits out of the rental place.

I hate to be negative, but the work situation is just so bad at the minute-we've lost all support networks ie. customer service and the AIC (Area installation dept) so when a customer has a query, problem ANYTHING I simply cannot help! The computers arent even working !!!!!!! I wasn't even answering the phone yesterday becasue I literally cannot help anyone, good huh?

And to top my day off yesterday, I was sitting talking in the front of the store with the Administrator (Kevin) discuaaing how we sell of kitchens etc and this Chav walked out carrying a large gift bag, I remarked, wonder what he has nicked (people dont usually shop for gifts in MFI) and Kev just went 'MY LAPTOP!' ran to the back, and ran out of the shop-the little sod had nicked it!!!! So, Kev went running after him, couldnt find him...the said, Im going to get ini my car and see if I can find him-I in the meantime am on the phone to the police and closed the shop (as I was the only one in there and felt unsecrure) about 10 minutes later, Kev comes BACK in, WITH the laptop and sweating buckets-he only saw the lad and grabbed him and had to threaten to 'leather' him if he didnt hand it back and the chav had dumped it-so to cut a long story short (too late) HE GOT IT BACK! Blimey...well, the excitement was a bit much for the poor guy so we locked up and left...no bloody customers anyway-just theiving gits...
Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale
  • Buffy-good luck today hunny x x x

so why even go in Bunny?

I would just stay at home and job hunt.
As you say its not like you can even help people:cool:

I know I for one would not be happy to be in a store of that size basically on my own

  • Well, i will get paid (and need the money) and always will get a SMALL amount of severance pay if I stay til the bitter end...so I will hang on and look for jobs anyway.

It's not nice being in there alone-very unsettling.

    Thanks jinks x

i do hope then you are using your *work* time to job hunt then?;)

you might as well do something constructive while you are there:D

I would also keep the door locked, and put the store contact number up on the door so if people need in, they can phone and then you answer the door.

Could you do that do you think?

  • Yes, I can put a note on the door to ring the bell.
And don't you worry-Im actively looking! lol ;)
