I was looking last night and it seems its not an easy method for someone like me. the free way is to use codecs and all sorts of things i dont understand. In the end i used a programme called winAVI although it does put a watermark on the free version. It seemed easy enough and fairly quick andthis is what I am after. I was thinking of buying this and would cost about £17 but thought i would check if there is anything better/easier /quicker about first or alterntively a shareware easy version of something. thanks

Another vote for ConvertX, I find it easier to use than WinAvi, and the results are better. There are also more menu options, including using your own picture as the menu background, making it ideal for making holiday DVD's. It does take a little longer to run though.0 -
DVD Flick is excellent and I've never had problems with it. What problems did you have? It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

I use ConvertXtoDVD and Ashampoo Burning Studio 7. I think ConvertX is by far the better and virtually automatic - you just drag the files in, give the dvd a title (if you dont it just calls it 'My DVD').I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
