Primark, am I entitled to a refund?

I bought a zip-up cardigan come jumper from Primark. It was a great fit and despite a bit of play with the zip it seemed good. I took the tags off the back of the collar and was trying it on at home in the mirror when the zip started catching and jamming. Now the zip won't work at all. I thought I was lucky to get the last one on the shelf, but now I realise why it was left there.
Am I entitled to a refund despite having taken off the tags? I still have the tags, but they are no longer attached to the item. I have the receipt too.

might be able to get a refund because it is faulty but some primakr stores (well, probably some assistants) are iffy about it so mor elikely you will get offered an exchange0

Shops only insist the tags are on if you have taken it back because you have changed your mind, so they can see its not been worn and can resell it.
In your case it seems that the zip is faulty, if you take it back with proof of purchase (your reciept) you should get a refund.0
