Can I apply for a student loan?

hello,
I am repeating my third year of a psychology degree, I have worked throughout the summer f/t and have cut down to 20 hours a week thinking that I could manage both moneywise and academically. However, I am finding it increasing difficult to cope academically and have some form of a life/relaxation time. The reason I "failed" my first third year was due to depression and anxiety and I am again finding that I become upset over things easily and just want to sleep all the time...
Anyway, I wondering whether I will be allowed to apply for a student loan now as normally I had this done by the summer time came round ... also can anyone suggest other ways to manage - I've already been to the ALF and the criteria seems to rule me out as my finances are not above or beyond normal and I dont have dependants etc...
Thanks
Jen

You won't get any funding through ALF if you haven't taken out your loan or everyone would do this. I don't think you're too late to apply for a loan, why don't you give them a ring? I'm sure 20 hours is too much for someone resitting their third year and having problems with anxiety;tighten your belt and put your energies into studying. Good luck.0

you can still apply for your student loan. i had a friend that applied in the last month of each year so he could save it to go on his travels. If you apply now they wont have a problem but will prob take a while.
hope that helpsI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
