Premium bonds, how many do I have?

Is it possible to find out how many premium bonds you have via the holders number via the NS&I web site? also if you have lost the bonds certificate, does that mean you have lost the bonds?

  • No you haven't lost the bonds, all you need is your holder number. You don't need the individual bond numbers to find out if you've won a prize. I think your best bet would be to e-mail or phone them and ask if they can replace your certificate. Prehaps not a good time to do so at the minute though - they seem swamped with phone calls with people transferring their savings!

  • I believe I have a couple of hundred in premium bonds somewhere out there. My parents bought them for me when I was a kid and I'd completely forgotten about them until they sent me another £50 check in the post completely out of the blue - nice surprise!

You won a prize! How many years did that take? I've got a couple of hundred as well and at the last odds, I'd expect a prize every 8.75 years! lol

  • Heh, I think these have been pretty lucky premium bonds - on £150 (I think) invested, I've won about £300. That said, that's been over the course of over 20 years... So not sure if it still works out as a good investment. I've won £100, and 4 x £50. (As I remember anyway. I remember my mum getting annoyed as well when I was a kid because she had £2000 in there and I only have £150 and I was winning more often than she was at first.

You can phone them up and ask for a reprint using your NS&I number thing.
  • Thanks for the info, I will ask them to send out certificates.

I have my holders number, is it possible to find out how many bonds I own?

I can log in and see what I have won in the last 6 months, but I cant find anywhere on the site how many I own.
