Keep losing Internet Connection.

Just after a bit of advice really...

I am having serious trouble keeping my internet connection, i keep refreshing the web browser, repairing my connection in my internet options and still I struggle to keep my connection for very long.

Story behind this is I was with AOL for 4 years, never had a connection problem, signed up to talk talk's free internet and now I feel like Im on dial-up. Especially during peak times. Its taken me since 6pm tonight to get onto the web to post this and usually i cant get on at all. Im seriously not happy paying my bill when Im not getting the connection however the talk talk account is in my ex husbands name as it was an 18 month contract and they are refusing to talk to me about the account, im at my wits end with it! Will it get any better if i switch provider.

PS whilst my techie knowledge is ok, im in no means an expert and if theres any way my computer settings might be at fault I welcome the advice.

Thanks

Im with TT got a few tabs open and not having too much trouble. Try deleting cookies etc I notice if I remove extra tool bars my pages load faster but the site has lots going on so could be generally slow.

Do you have the 'Talk Talk Assist & Go' Program? This usually 'fixes' the connection if it fails to start up or goes haywire.

Whats the speed test showing your speed as?

As the problem could be a number of things, it's worth checking out this site: http://www.thinkbroadband.com/

As well as things like testing the speed of your broadband connection via this site, it also has reviews and current ratings via users of broadband providers, and help for common problems.

    Best of luck!

I think you have answered your own question as to where the problem is.
