Freestanding kitchen unit - tall larder type

My Mum has just bought a new house and she has contacted the kitchen manufacturer who have quoted over £600 for a tall larder cupboard to put at the end of her row of wall units, to give some extra room. And that it without the cost of fitting.
So I was sondering if she could get a decent freestanding one anywhere? Tall thin, kinda fridge freezer shaped (one door at top, one at bottom)
Thanks in advance!

You can get these anywhere, problem will be getting one that blends in with the rest of the units. B&Q. Wickes, Homebase, Howdens, MFI etc all do various larder units.
If the existing cupboard doors are fairly standard in colour and design you might get a close enough match but if not then you may well have problems.
Also consider the height from the floor to the top of the wall units. Larder units come in different heights and you need one that will be close in height to the existing units. Some have adjustable legs, some wont have legs at all.
Would a larder unit without doors be of any use as a shelving unit? All you'd have to worry about then would be the carcase colour.
When you say 'new house'...do you mean new from a large company like Barratts and the like? If so, maybe they would consider sourcing a unit from the manufacturer cheaper for you but that's maybe just wishful thinking.

Yeah, a brand new Wimpey house. I did ask about that but they said no, maybe it is because my Mum was one of the last in and the sales office is about to close any day now.0
