move desktop to another room

Would be grateful if someone could advise me,I want to move the pc to another room (not wireless) but cable for broadband is"nt long enough.Can you buy an extender or do I need to get Virgin media out to put in new box.

Is it an ethernet cable connection? You can buy 30m long ethernet cables from pc world (cheaper on ebay) so you can do it yourself or extend the phone line connection no need to have Virgin out to do it for you.0

Hi just bit more info .it is cable broad band, I do have a wireless router attatched for the laptop. but the desk top isnt wireless.I am not to technie minded so am looking for the easiest solution.0
