Hotmail and Martin's weekly tip email

A friend of mine is signed up to Martin's weekly email via Hotmail, but the last couple of weeks has not received it.

I advised her to check her junk folders etc but she couldn't find it.

I told her to look out for the info on the site itself, but does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Is anyone else out there getting this in Hotmail?

Would appreciate your help.

Same here - had one dated 29/11/2005 to my Inbox. Has your friend tried unsubscribing and resubscribing?

A new Money Tip came out today, but I haven't received it yet (perhaps the website gets the tip before it is e-mailed out.

Same here - the last one I received was dated 8 Nov.

I've entered my hotmail address in the money tips box (top left) and the response confirmed that my address is already receiving the tips. It also says:

What to do if the address is correct but you've stopped receiving the tip.

Have you installed any Spam filtering or firewall software recently? Has your ISP installed any new filters that may be stopping our Tips from getting through? We rarely change the configuration of our Tips so a sudden stop usually results from other factors. If you can check these factors it would be a great help.

Do remember to include the fact that you have checked that spam or firewall issues are not the cause of the problem.

I've reported the problem to the webmaster because they're not being filtered as spam, and it isn't a firewall problem because I read Hotmail in a browser, not via an email client like Outlook Express.

Good post - I have not had one for about three weeks. 09/11/05 was the last time. I have not made any changes to my Hotmail set up at all in that time and MSE is on my safe list.

Just got my tip through at 17 minutes past 8 this evening, so it looks like (as I said) the site does get the tip before it gets emailed out, or :think: the e-mail got held up in the e-mail system.

Why is martin using this suspicious-looking email address (www-data@martiaa6.memset.net) anyway? 2 different email accounts I am using are identifying it as junk and blocking it.

GMAIL, usually quite diligent when it comes to blocking spam, lets these through.

May be users of some email providers have reported the updates as spam?
