I like to download Sims2 objects and clothes etc., from free download sites, but whenever I get directed to Mediafire.com it causes my browser to shut. No problem anywhere else. Any ideas please.

which browser are you using? Internet explorer?
Try firefox ~

Yes I'm using Internet Explorer. Will the one you suggested take up a lot of room on my hard drive as I havent that much room left. Also why does it crash on IE.0
-
Not much room no ~ the programs 7Mb. Maybe uses 50 Mb in use
Very hard to say WHY it crashes. Any number of reasons
For now though I would recommend downloading cleaner to clean your hard drive
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
Run the top 2 scans (Make a backup of the deleted registries when it asks)
Dont worry about the size ~ its tiny and will probably create quite a bit of room on your hard drive anyways
(how bigs the drive and how much room is left?)
Then try again using internet explorer.
If it still fails then try firefox ~ we can take it from there:idea:0 -
Thanks for your answer. My hard drive is 20g on C drive and I have another 60gs free on E drive which I had put in my computer to be able to download games on. On C drive there is only about 9gs left free and I presume I can't put Firefox on the new drive E. Not very computer savvy I'm afraid. My computer is a Dell dimension 4500 so its quite old.0

You can put firefox and ccleaner on C drive with no problems at all:idea:0

I meant to say that I already have Easycleaner on my computer. Is that not as good as ccCleaner?0
-
Easycleaner There are worse around, registry cleaner, startup inspector and un-installer, that's IIRC.
Can exist alongside CCleaner.Move along, nothing to see.0
